Live from London

Whew! Yeah so I was going to try and do daily updates from London, but boy, that has not worked out like I had planned. Been extremely busy over the past few days, working all day and then either hopping right into happy hour or burning the midnight oil (like last night).

London… wow, what a fabulous city! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get out here, I absolutely love it. Over the past few days I’ve seen some of the most amazing European cars and eaten some of the best food ever. I’ve already seen 2 Lamborghini Gallardos, 3 Ferrari 430s, 2 Aston Martins, including one with this unique reflective metallic paint that could look gold or purple depending upon the angle, and countess Porsche 911 turbos, along with a BMW Z8 hardtop parked on the street last night. Crazy!

For food, I had some amazing Persian food near Hyde Park, delicious Japanese noodles in the Camden area, late night drunken Tapas (we ordered way too many tapas too being so drunk, haha). Last night, we ate at this incredible Indian place called Cafe Quebec, located right across the street from the Leonard. We sat down next to this guy who is the president of research and development for a pharmaceutical company, telling us he has been coming to this restaurant for the past 19 years! And at least once a month. And he doesn’t even live in London! He’s actually lives outside of Philadelphia on this 250-acre farm that William Penn used to live in, whose architect was one of the co-founders of the Morom church! There is actually a picture of his house from 1920 that is apparently on the seal or crest for the Morom church. How’s that for a small world?

I’m not sure if I’ll have time the rest of this week to post about what we’re doing, but I can say, I just received this in my inbox:

“We’re down on the VIP list for this Thursday’s recording of 1LSQ. I’ve not had full confirmation of all the guests, but believe Noel Gallagher from Oasis is one of them.”

Rock!
