New iPod

A few weeks ago someone broke into my car and stole my iPod :( You’d think living in Georgetown and parking my car in our secluded parking lot would be relatively safe, but guess not. I only left it in there overnight, usually don’t do that and now I certainly won’t do that again. Could have been worse though, it was a clean break through my passenger side window (no other damage) and my iPod was getting really old-the battery barely lasted, screen scratched up and it wasn’t always working too great. I was going to buy a new one soon anyways, but didn’t expect to be forced into it, doh!

Anyways, I bought a refurbished 4G iPod from Apple but when I got it, it was broken! It would not charge, nor bootup or anything. So I used Apple’s online support and return program for iPod, and wow! They sent me shipping materials 2 business days later after my request, had DHL pickup my broken iPod, fixed it (likely replaced it) in 2 days, and shipped it back overnight! I’ve never had to file a warranty claim before like this (knock on wood) but wow, Apple certainly has it right… at least in terms of replacing iPods, bravo!
